I MADE a breakthrough!

Hi all!

Right before my flight back from Davos back to Hong Kong, I stumbled upon a new idea for the book. I recalled reading Richard Branson’s book Losing My Virginity back when I was in college, and recalled that he had written the book in an almost autobiographical format.

In that moment right before I was rushing into the airport, I decided to try writing that section on the 16 hour flight.

It was a total failure.

I ended up writing non-stop and had 6 chapters to show for it. But today I decided to can it because it didn’t fit into the rest of the book.

But the process wasn’t.

I learned something new about myself. I cried when I remembered my mother passing away when I was 16, much too young for any child. I laughed at my naivety when I wrote about how I joined the Army. I admired my younger self for being courageous and embracing changes in my career, life, and living locations.

And I found out what makes me, me.

Today’s breakthrough was doubling down on the existing content on what makes me, me. On shaping the content to fit what makes me unique.

And it felt smooth, as if it was the very thing it was meant to be.
